About this experience
You’ll explore stunning panoramic views aboard our 4x4 off-road side-by-sides. Carabalí offers exhilarating one and two-hour UTV rides through its 600-acre ranch at the foothills of El Yunque National Rainforest, with the spectacular scenery of Puerto Rico’s east coast all around you. Upon arrival, riders get a ten-minute introduction on how to operate the vehicle, including safety instructions, and are provided with helmets. You will feel safe and secure whether you are an experienced rider or a first timer. On the two-hour tour, guests also get 30 minutes to relax and swim in the crystal-clear Mameyes River, which flows down from El Yunque.
Choose a Yanmar Bull (driver plus up to 2 passengers) or a Big YBull (driver plus up to 5 passengers), so the tour works for couples, families and larger groups. Solo riders pay the 2-rider rate.
Guide Driven Vehicle
For those not interested in driving their own vehicle, we do offer a Guide Driven Option where guests can ride along in one of our UTV’s with a park guide counting as an additional passenger. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride!

FAQ
Should I book the 1-hour or 2-hour ride?
The 2-hour ride if you can. Guests say it goes deeper into the forest, with more photo stops and a 30-minute swim in the Mameyes River, weather permitting.
What's the difference between a UTV and an ATV?
A UTV seats everyone side by side like a car, so families and groups ride together. An ATV is ridden like a motorcycle, with one passenger behind the driver. See our El Yunque ATV tours.
Who can drive and who can ride?
Drivers must be 16 or older with a physical, valid driver's license. Passengers must be at least 42 inches tall, measured at check-in, and anyone under 18 needs someone 18 or older with them.
How many people fit in one UTV?
Up to 6, with a maximum of 4 adults. Prices cover 1 to 2 people, and each extra rider adds $30 on the 1-hour ride or $60 on the 2-hour ride. Solo drivers pay the 2-person rate.
What if I don't want to drive?
Carabalí offers a guide-driven option, where a park guide drives and counts as one of the passengers.
Is there a weight limit?
Yes, a combined 900 lbs per UTV.
What should I wear?
Closed-toe shoes and long pants. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty, bring a bathing suit for the river, and pack sunglasses or a bandana, since the trails are dusty.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 24 hours before your ride, by phone, for a full refund. Bookings made less than 24 hours ahead can't be refunded or changed, and no-shows are charged in full. If the park cancels for weather, you get a full refund.
